I honestly have no idea about marimba music teachers, I say so because in the Eastern Cape we need teachers because though we have schools/ Art Centres with marimbas we are looking for some.I personally studied marimba music at Kwanongoma College -Zimbabwe far back 1980-82 under Alport Mhlanga, he must be aged now,I am also out of practice now. I dont even have his contacts right now.

I recommend Sheree Seretse in Seattle Washington. She is the musical director for Anzanga & Shumba (both Seattle area marimba bands)

She teaches mostly Shona/Zimbabwean style marimba, and is one of Dumi's original students.

Sheree Seretse / Anzanga
116 17th Ave. #C
Seattle, WA 98122
Telephone: 206-325-0330
Email: anzanga@aol.com

OSU days, as a farm girl the first time I heard Balafon I couldn't stop moving, it was a force that just grew inside of you. How could anyone not move, not smile and be taken for a ride that was just incrediable. So began my addication to latin, african and music I had never heard. 30+ yrs later, I'm still in a band and lovin it.

Thankyou
